Simchat Torah in Giv’at Ye’arim

Last night was an amazing finale to a wonderful 16 days in Israel. The warmth and openness of our host community was on full display as we were invited to participate in their Simchat Torah celebration.

Almost everyone in our group danced at one point or another, though I did help a couple find their legs…. ( ahem… Perry, James, David… lol) The ladies did the most dancing and we all had yaiyin, ice cream and candy. So much joy!

Special highlight for me was Silas on the drums for several minutes.

What a beautifully joyous occasion for you all. I recognized a few faces from being in Yerushalayim and Ariel last Aviv. I love Silas Rambo on the drums! He’s a good drummer!
